Repair procedures

Drain the engine oil.
(Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")

Remove the timing chain.
(Refer to timing System - "Timing Chain")
|

Remove the oil pump (A) with the outer rotor from the cylinder block.

Inspect the rotor side clearance.

Using a vernier calipers measure the diameter of outer rotor.
|
Standard diameter :
46.781 - 46.820 mm (1.8417 - 1.8433 in)
|

Using a vernier calipers measure the diameter of cylinder block
oil pump hole.
|
Standard diameter :
47.000 - 47.039 mm (1.8503 - 1.8519 in)
|

Calculate the difference between the outer rotor and the cylinder
block hole.
|
Standard clearance :
0.180 - 0.258mm (0.0071 -0.0102in)
|

Inspect the rotor width clearance.

Using a vernier calipers measure the width of outer rotor.
|
Standard width :
17.46 - 17.48 mm (0.6874 - 0.6882 in)
|
|

Using a vernier calipers measure the diameter of cylinder block
oil pump hole.

Standard width :
17.55 - 17.57 mm (0.6909 - 0.6917 in)
|
|
| (3) |
Calculate the difference between the outer lotor and the cylinder
block hole.
|
Standard clearance :
0.040 - 0.090 mm (0.0015 - 0.0035 in)

Install the oil pump (A) with the outer rotor.
|
Tightening torque :
9.8 - 11.8 N·m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf·m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb·ft)

Apply engine oil when rotor assemble.

Install the other parts in the reverse order of removal.
